Some Examples of our Swimming Pool &
Garden Designs |

The garden surrounding this modern building is designed and planted - with semi-mature trees and shrubs - to seamlessly compliment the design parameters of the house. The pool area contains a summerhouse with a bathroom, mini kitchen and a shaded pergola for outside dining, whilst the pool itself is unusually long and wide with good areas to one side for sunbathing and general entertaining. This garden and swimming pool for Villa Sofie is situated in the hill village of Saturnia in Tuscany, which is well known for the travertine stone of the same name. The commanding views from the garden look out over the ancient Etruscan landscape to other hill villages and to the valley floor below, to the well known hot thermal springs - in constant use since Roman times - at the Terme di Saturnia. This swimming pool had to be elevated high above the natural ground to bring it closer to the level of an existing garden. The transition between the two was accomplished with terraced beds planted with day lilies, clivias, agapanthus and marguerite daisies to continue the feeling of the garden cascading down to Sydney's Lane Cove River. The water level in this quarter Olympic swimming pool is at the same level as the pool surrounds and the overflow is controlled through a balance tank. Ask a question |

Within the glass pavilion there is a lush tropical paradise with fishtail palms, bougainvillea, birdsnest palms etc all elevated above the heated swimming pool, together with waterfalls and a spa. The atmosphere within the structure is exotically tropical with its typical humidity and the smell of jungle vegetation. Ask a question |
